Mostly, in my photography I prefer all things natural and not man-made. That's not to say man-made things can not be beautiful, it's just that nature is the ultimate perfection. I like my photos mostly to be lively and colorful, although I have a passion for the simplicity and power of black and white photography.
I like to find beauty in all things. People also make interesting subjects, and I enjoy candid photography more than shooting photos of models. I like photographing cats because they are fascinating. I just like taking pictures of flowers because they are colorful and there's a lot of texture, although I don't consider them to be some of my best works. It's all about capturing a moment - a smile, the perfect time of evening for sunset, the kind of photo where you can picture yourself there, enjoying the moment and can imagine exactly what was happening when the photo was taken.
I tend to take more lively, colorful pictures than dark, depressing ones. The world already has enough negativity. Why add to it?
On that note, I am off to discover what I can create next.
Until next time,
Mateo
